Fall Elegance; DIY at it's finest!

We could hardly believe that the undertones of this wedding were pure DIY when we saw it.  It took our breath away!  The stunning gold dress?  Oh, the bride designed it and worked with a seamstress to have it come to life!  The florals, the food - her incredible family came together to create!  Talent runs through this bunch!  On that note, when a wedded union begins with underpinnings such as this labor of love from the family you can only imagine future predictions for the couple surrounded but this much love!  These stunning images were captured by the talent of Janelle Stephanie!
This wedding was featured on Summer Watkins' Grey Likes Weddings and we think she said it best, "Without further ado, here’s how to throw a DIY barn wedding (on a private property…boo!) that is still glamorous, classic, and timeless (all the things I love!)".

PS: it had never rained in Santa Ynez on their wedding date, ever.  Until this wedding took place!
PPS: the basset hounds and the flower girls?!  It's too much - love it!

Have a beautiful weekend, darling friends.

Innovation & Creativity at it's Finest; The week of Miss Meaders Comes to a Close

On a final Friday note we wanted to share with you a flower installation that was created by Ashley as the centerpiece above where vows were spoken.  It really had our artistic wheels turning , does it do the same for you?

 We love it.

Paper florals are ever so popular these days – the paper poms' remain in Vogue and paper bouquets are becoming a new fad – BHLDN featuring them in the launch of their décor line.  We're crushing on them too... So very smart for your hunny's boutonniere, after giving loads of guests a squeeze flowers can end up wilted & damaged but those snuggles may not have as rough of an effect on paper florals!

Did Ashley's instinct for scrumptious DIY style make you ignite your creative senses?  Inspiration is everywhere but we are grateful for artists such as Miss Meaders.

What do you think brides-to-be & friends; would you use paper florals on your wedding day?  Would you use them only for certain elements?
We're curious to know...

And with this scrumptious post we conclude our our week highlighting Miss Meaders.  We hope you enjoyed it & perhaps even stumbled upon a favorite incentive for your own wedding or event.

Happiest of Fridays to you,
Cheers!

On the hunt for some seemingly simple decor that makes quite an impact?

Don't you think these little details make an event that much more unique & outstanding?  We do... Of course we do.

Her incredible ideas have taken off - here's another example of pretty *fringe*.  What a great name...

We're already a little heart heavy that Friday will be the last day of this week of inspiration!  But alas, not for forever!

Thursday, what a fabulous day.  Enjoy it, friends

Our DIY muse; Ashley Meaders' wedding details showcase continues...

The scope of the talented Miss Meaders is quite limitless and she thrills us so that it's hard to choose absolute favorites to share with you, although we're certain Ashley's work will be featured forevermore by us ladies of Love of Fair :)

Max & Margaux's wedding was honestly probably as highly anticipated by the blogging world as the Royal Wedding was by the world!  You see, Max is also a part of The Flashdance - splitting the role with OLOL as the most coveted photographers out there!**  SO when Our Labour of Love released their delectable images we drooled over each.and.every.one.  Since the two photographers in The Flashdance collaboration were involved combined Ashley's talents we were certain these photos and creative genius would satiate us!
What ensued was pure bliss:
A theme of stuffed hearts & fabric pieces ruled the day
Ruffled garland brilliance

stuffed hearts for smilebooth props & pillows
A swing!  I do believe this is the stuff dreams are made of...
Both Max & Margaux arranged letters to say a little something to their lovebird while the other couldn't peek!
The string lights make this scenario even more fantastic!
The fabric piece installation we're sure is somewhere brilliant now, covered with all of their guests' well-wishes!

The hearts - on the cake, as props for photos and smilebooth, the ruffled garland, the fabric installation (pictured above) for the entryway as a guestbook, *a swing*!  Every delectable detail was perfection.
Don't you think?

PS: aren't they a beautiful couple?

**Sidenote: I am being entirely biased at the moment and we will certainly elaborate on the overwhelming amount of talent in the world of photography that we can't even begin to delve into at this moment but of course will attempt in vain.  Furthermore, we do not claim to be any sort of masters of that realm because it's just.so.lush!

Didn't hump day just become oh so much easier?

Starting Tuesday off right with more of Miss Ashley Meader's knack for goodness!

I know, we can't stop oogling those delightful images from Monday either, however, as always Tuesday has rolled around and we're hoping it's going to be a splendid one :)
Tuesday is such an underrated day - Monday is big because it starts the week, Wednesday is a) hard to spell and b) hump day, Thursday is virtually Friday for 95% of the population and then Friday - as if Friday needs any more hype. Please.  TGIF.
To help delightful Tuesdays pick up some cred we thought we would post some loveliness to start your day off right, with a morning spread styled by the delightful Ashley for Design Sponge as part of Once Wed's "Beyond the Big Day" monthly read.  The photographers?  Just the ever-talented Our Labour of Love (did I mention they're shooting our wedding?  I did?  I might again...).

PS: this is a selection of photos I have actually been toting around (to several computers thus far) *that's* how fabulous this shoot is.  So precious for a Sunday brunch with girlfriends, right?

PPS: I have a little giggle every time at the names of the attendees at this gathering!  Olive, Estella & Lucy - can I come?!  They sound so refined.  That's probably why they have such a pretty party set up going on here...

I know, we are already itching to see tomorrow's posting too!

Until then, have a beautiful Tuesday!
